Hello, and happy Day 26 of the 30 Days Thankful Challenge.
Today’s we’ll be focusing our grateful thoughts on the mentors in our lives, and in the lives of our children.
When you hear the word mentor, what comes to mind?
Do you think of a teacher who made a positive impact in your schooling?
Does the word mentor mean someone who served as a role model of sorts, who taught you invaluable skills?
Some people these days use the word mentor to describe someone like a coach whose guidance you sought out to help you reach your goals.
Mentors often help us grow, not just in terms of what we know, but in maturity and wisdom, as well as confidence.
The relationship between a student and mentor can be one that you seek out specifically. Or, it can be something that springs up naturally, by association and because of need.
For example, if you begin work at a restaurant, you may be taken under the wing of a more accomplished chef who is willing to work with you and teach the skills you need to succeed.
Or, if you’re training for a sport or for better health and fitness, your mentor could be a coach or trainer who works one on one with you.

Give thanks for mentors.
