You’ll forget all about carbs while feasting on this scrumptious steak dinner with a tangy lemon and green onion flavor profile. You’ll want to prepare the marinade far in advance to give it time to soak into the meat.
1 pound steak
1 teaspoon finely shredded lemon peel
1/2 cup lemon juice
1/3 cup cooking oil
2 Tablespoons sliced green onion
4 teaspoons Splenda
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon prepared mustard
1/8 teaspoon pepper
Combine marinade ingredients. Place steak in a shallow baking dish and pour marinade over the top. Cover and place in refrigerator for a minimum of 4 hours. Heat up your gas or charcoal grill to piping hot.
Remove meat from marinade and reserve the liquid for basting. Cook steak to your liking, starting with 4 minutes on each side, until meat is done. You can baste with the extra marinade while grilling, for added flavor and juiciness.
